| Special Issue of Health Affairs Features Key Studies on Childhood Obesity |
|
In its March 2010 issue, Health Affairs focuses on the state of the childhood obesity epidemic and explores solutions to reverse the epidemic. This special issue was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The articles and studies, which were written by some of the most influential leaders engaged in childhood obesity prevention efforts, examine federal, state and local policy changes. Health Affairs also released six policy briefs outlining the severity of the obesity epidemic and the role of policy in reducing childhood obesity. Health Affairs, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, held a briefing on childhood obesity. Speakers at the briefing included RWJF President and CEO Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, M.D., M.B.A., and many of the authors featured in the March 2010 issue.
