Goal

To provide policy implementation training to D.C. elected and appointed officials across sectors of government and other important stakeholders focused on the implementation of citywide policies to prevent obesity.

Objectives

In order to ensure the successful implementation of policies to prevent obesity in the District of Columbia, this policy institute will:

  1. Provide technical assistance to D.C. government officials across relevant departments;
  2. Facilitate and encourage inter-departmental planning and coordination;
  3. Engage non-government partners and provide information about the role they can play; and
  4. Encourage coordination between government and non-government stakeholders.
