Dr. Rice Leach, Commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Public Health, presented on "Chronic Disease in Kentucky: why it should matter to you!" during a Leadership for Healthy Communities workshop in Louisville, Kentucky, May 2003. In addition to educating leaders on active living, the workshop fostered new momentum and energy for creating a broad and multidisciplinary coalition of leaders to promote active living initiatives in Kentucky.
