This issue of Healthy Learning News was distributed in the winter of 2007-2008 and features success stories of two school districts, Portland Public Schools (Portland, OR) and the District of Columbia Public Schools (Washington, DC). This issue focused on the importance of the community culture in local wellness initiatives, as well the need for strong administrative leadership and family involvement.
